Priyanka Chopra on fighting scenes with Karl Urban in ‘The Bluff’: He is very well versed

Priyanka Chopra’s Pirate-action film ‘The Bluff’ has hit OTT platforms, where she stars as Ercell “Bloody Mary” Bodden, opposite Karl Urban. The film has high action sequences between Priyanka and Karl. Recently, Priyanka Chopra reflected how it was shooting for the high-octane scenes with Karl Urban.

In a recent interview with Rohan Patel, Priyanka Chopra talked about the action scenes in the film. She said, “fight (scenes) with Karl required a lot of precision.” sharing that the scene required precision, jumps, and agility, Priyanka said, “Karl is very well-versed. He was taught by Darth Vader, Darth Vader himself. So, uh, I was like, I've got to not be stupid here. Um, so there was a lot.” Priyanka Chopra said that she practiced for months while she was filming ‘Heads of State’. “When we started working and we worked together extensively again while we were shooting whenever we could get the time.”

Karl Urban says he ‘loved’ working with Priyanka Chopra

In the same interview, Karl Urban, who stars as the primary antagonist Captain Connor, said he “loved” working with Priyanka Chopra.

“She just threw herself at 1,000% and uh I knew that I could not turn up to set and you know be even 5% down in energy because Priyanka was always going to deliver and she was always going to be there with energy,” said Karl.

About ‘The Bluff’

Directed by Frank E. Flowers, ‘The Bluff’ is set in 19th-century Cayman Brac. The action-thriller follows Priyanka Chopra as a former pirate who thought she had escaped her sordid past and found peace. However, when that past comes knocking, she soon finds herself fighting for her life and her family's. Karl Urban plays a ruthless, vengeful, and crafty pirate captain who holds a deep-rooted grudge against Ercell.
