‘The Last Thing He Told Me’ also connects to the sequel book ‘The First Time He Saw Me’. Season 2 follows the same timeline. The story explains Owen’s past and his family history. Owen, also known as Ethan, had turned witness against a crime family. His daughter Bailey, played by Angourie Rice, was also living under a changed identity. The season explores their future after Owen returns.
