It signals yet another milestone in Saif’s streaming saga, building on his standout turns in ‘Sacred Games’, ‘Tandav’, and ‘Vikram Vedha’. Red Chillies Entertainment backs the project, with Pulkit as a director.

Saif expressed his excitement for the upcoming film in a press release, stating, "Kartavya, which is really great, produced by Shah Rukh Khan's company Red Chillies Entertainment, is going to come out soon. It's a lovely piece by director Pulkit, and I'm really happy that it's coming out on Netflix." This marks director Pulkit's follow-up collaboration with Netflix and Red Chillies Entertainment after his 2024 hit ‘Bhakshak’, which featured Bhumi Pednekar in the lead.
