‘Running Man’ is perhaps one of the most popular and long-running Korean variety shows. It features an ensemble of cast members who often get together to do different tasks and challenges together, and is loved by many. Actress Ji Ye Eun, who is known for her roles in ‘Yellow’ and ‘Black Out: Mafia Game’, recently made her return to the show as a regular member after her hiatus due to health issues.
Actress Ji Ye Eun returns to ‘Running Man’
On November 2, the actress appeared on the broadcast episode of ‘Running Man’ for the first time in almost a month after going on a hiatus. She had initially taken a break from the show and filming in general in order to deal with her condition of hypothyroidism.
During the show, her fellow cast members celebrated her return with full zeal. During one of the segments, they were also tasked with cooking up a feast, including all of the things that the star loves to eat. The actress then revealed her long list of food items she wishes to eat, sharing that, "I want to eat sashimi, gomtang (beef bone soup), yangjangpi (a mixed noodle dish), Peking duck, tiramisu, an iced cafe latte, and gelato too.
" Fellow co-star Yoo Jae Suk then joked with her, saying that she eats a lot and that "You better narrow that down to three while I'm still being nice," making everyone on set laugh out loud.
Ji Ye Eun gets emotional on her return
During the show, when all of the cast members were sitting together to eat, Ji Eun was asked by them about how she felt about returning to the show after a month. The actress ended up getting emotional and shared that instead of feeling joyful, she felt touched by the warm reception she received from all of the cast and crew members in the episode when they were initially filming it. She then joked about her getting teary, saying that, "It's just my hormones fluctuating.”
