Park Ju Hyun, Kim Young Dae, Lee Si Woo, and Choi Ye Bin star in heartfelt friendship drama 'Perfect Family'

KBS2’s much-anticipated drama, “Perfect Family,” has just unveiled a striking new poster featuring a star-studded cast, including Park Ju Hyun, Kim Young Dae, Choi Ye Bin, and Lee Si Woo. This upcoming series, based on a popular webtoon, promises a riveting blend of mystery and drama.
The plot revolves around a seemingly ideal family whose perfect facade begins to crumble when their daughter becomes embroiled in a murder investigation.The drama is directed by acclaimed Japanese filmmaker Isao Yukisada, marking his debut in Korean television drama.
The newly released poster introduces us to the central characters: Park Ju Hyun as Choi Sun Hee, Kim Young Dae as Park Kyung Ho, Choi Ye Bin as Lee Soo Yeon, and Lee Si Woo as Ji Hyun Woo. All characters are students at Yoonil High School, but their cheerful exteriors mask deeper conflicts. While Kyung Ho, Sun Hee, and Hyun Woo beam with smiles, Soo Yeon’s neutral expression hints at an intriguing underlying tension.
Sun Hee, Kyung Ho, and Hyun Woo share a close friendship, with Kyung Ho and Hyun Woo both secretly harboring feelings for Sun Hee. Kyung Ho, possessing both charm and affluence, actively tries to express his affection, whereas Hyun Woo remains quietly supportive with his thoughtful demeanor. Soo Yeon, a recent transfer student and Sun Hee’s childhood friend from an orphanage, also becomes closely involved with the group. Her tough exterior and quick temper add a layer of complexity to the narrative.
As the story unfolds, Sun Hee is implicated in a murder case, leading to a dramatic unraveling of the group's relationships. The tagline, “You would never do something like that,” teases the audience about Sun Hee’s involvement and the complicated dynamics between her and her friends. This tagline hints at the central conflict of the series and the struggle each character faces as they attempt to protect themselves and each other.
The production team revealed, “The poster released today has a different mood from the earlier poster. While the characters may seem ordinary at first, their hidden desires emerge as the murder case unfolds and they try to escape from it. “Perfect Family” is set to premiere on August 14 at 9:50 p.m. KST. The show is anticipated to be a thrilling watch as it delves into themes of trust, deception, and friendship.
