Kremlin says Ukraine's EU accession could take decades

The Kremlin remarked on Friday that Ukraine's entry into the European Union remains highly unlikely. According to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, Brussels' support for Kyiv through its initiatives is more of a political gesture. Peskov in a briefing highlighted that both Ukraine and Moldova which is also aspiring for EU membership, do not meet the strict criteria set by the EU. Peskov expressed concerns that allowing Ukraine entry could potentially disrupt the stability of the bloc.
