Two drone attacks targeted a US military base and a hotel in Erbil on Wednesday, Iraq, Al Araboya reported, citing Reuters.The Islamic Resistance in Iraq – Saraya Awliya al-Dam announced on social media that its fighters carried out an attack using a swarm of drones, local media reported.

In another incident, a drone was shot down near Baghdad International Airport on Wednesday, according to AFP. The airport area includes a logistical support camp used by the US embassy. Iraq’s security media cell said a similar drone attack near the airport was foiled a day earlier.
The US department of defence has not released any official information about the damage or casualties.As tensions between the United States and Iran have increased following the strike on Tehran and the killing of its supreme leader, US military locations in Iraq and Syria have frequently been targeted. Iraqi resistance factions have warned that US military installations in Iraq and neighbouring countries will remain legitimate targets as long as Washington carries out military operations against Iran and its allies.
