India vs USA T20 World Cup: Singer Mary Millben ‘thrilled’ to perform US national anthem in New York

American singer Mary Millben, who had performed the Indian national anthem in DC when Prime Minister Narendra Modi was there last year, performed the US National Anthem before the India vs US match at the T20 World Cup. She wrote on X: “TODAY! A dream come true to perform the US National Anthem for the last game of the @ICC @T20WorldCup tournament! And for two countries I love dearly. An honor to be the first American artist to perform the US National Anthem live for an #ICC #T20WorldCup game. A sold-out crowd of 34,000 and millions of viewers across the world. Tune-in! 10:20AM ET/7:20PM IST.” India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and chose to bowl first in the T20 World Cup clash against the United States on Wednesday.Both teams have a perfect four points from two wins in Group A so another victory for either side on the tricky Nassau County International Cricket Stadium pitch will secure a place in the second round Super Eights.India are unchanged from the team which successfully defended just 119 to defeat old rivals Pakistan by six runs at the same venue on Sunday.The United States, who stunned Pakistan with a Super Over triumph last time out, make two changes from that shock victory.Skipper Monank Patel is injured while Nosthush Kenjige also misses out.
