Alliance tallies shift across Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Puducherry and Kerala
Counting is underway across four states and the numbers are moving quickly. In Tamil Nadu, where 118 seats mark the majority in a 234-seat house, independent and smaller-party candidates cumulatively hold a tally of 115, with 10 seats won and 105 leads, sitting just 3 short of the majority mark. SPA has a tally of 60, while NDA stands at 55 with all 55 as leads and no seats declared yet. In West Bengal, BJP is leading in enough seats to cross the majority mark of 148 in the 294-seat assembly if those leads hold, carrying a tally of 179 built on 11 won seats and 168 leads. TMC trails with a tally of 106, comprising 2 won and 104 leading. Candidates from other parties or independent candidates cumulatively lead in 8 seats in West Bengal. In Puducherry, NDA has crossed the majority mark of 16 in the 30-seat assembly on current tallies, with 13 seats won and 5 leads giving it a tally of 18. SPA has a tally of 5 there. In Kerala, UDF is leading in enough seats to cross the majority mark of 71 in the 140-seat house if those leads hold, with 68 seats won and 19 leading for a tally of 87. LDF has a tally of 36, with 30 won and 6 leading. Candidates from other parties or independent candidates cumulatively hold a tally of 17 in Kerala.
