Alliance standings across Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Puducherry and Kerala
Counting is underway across four states and the union territory of Puducherry, with leads shifting as rounds progress. In Tamil Nadu, where 118 seats are needed for a majority in the 234-seat assembly, independent and smaller party candidates cumulatively hold a tally of 115 seats, with 10 declared and 105 leading, leaving them just 3 short of the majority mark. SPA has a tally of 60 seats, while NDA is at 55. In West Bengal, BJP is leading in enough seats to cross the majority mark of 148 in the 294-seat house, holding a tally of 179 with 11 won and 168 leading. TMC trails with a tally of 106, and candidates from other parties or independent candidates cumulatively lead in 8 seats. In Puducherry, NDA has a tally of 18 in the 30-seat assembly, where 16 is the majority mark, with 13 seats already won and 5 leading, placing them on course to cross the threshold if those leads hold. SPA has a tally of 5. In Kerala, UDF leads in enough seats to cross the majority mark of 71 in the 140-seat assembly, holding a tally of 87 with 68 won and 19 leading. LDF trails with a tally of 36, having won 30 seats with 6 leading.
