Alliance standings across Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Puducherry and Kerala
Counting is underway across four states with leads still shifting in several seats. In Tamil Nadu, where 118 seats are needed for a majority in the 234-seat assembly, independent and smaller party candidates cumulatively hold a tally of 115 seats, with 10 declared and 105 leading, leaving them 3 short of the majority mark. SPA has a tally of 60, with 7 won and 53 leading, while NDA stands at 55, all in leads with none declared yet. In West Bengal, BJP has crossed the majority mark of 148 in the 294-seat house on the strength of its tally, with 11 seats won and 168 leading for a combined tally of 179, if those leads hold. TMC trails with a tally of 106, comprising 2 won and 104 leading. Candidates from other parties or independent candidates cumulatively lead in 8 seats in West Bengal. In Puducherry, NDA has a tally of 18 in the 30-seat assembly, with 13 seats already won and 5 more leading, putting it past the majority mark of 16 if those leads hold. SPA has a tally of 5, with 2 won and 3 leading. In Kerala, UDF leads the 140-seat assembly count with a tally of 87, comprising 68 won and 19 leading, well past the majority mark of 71 if those leads hold. LDF has a tally of 36, with 30 won and 6 leading. Candidates from other parties or independent candidates cumulatively hold a tally of 17 seats in Kerala.
