Alliance standings across Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Puducherry and Kerala
Counting is underway across four states and the numbers are shifting quickly. In Tamil Nadu, where 118 seats are needed for a majority in the 234-seat assembly, independent and smaller party candidates cumulatively hold a tally of 115 seats, with 10 won and 105 leads, leaving them just 3 short of the majority mark. SPA has a tally of 60 seats, while NDA is at 55. In West Bengal, BJP is leading in enough seats to cross the majority mark of 148 in the 294-seat house if those leads hold, carrying a tally of 179 with 11 won and 168 leading. TMC trails with a tally of 106, comprising 2 won and 104 leads. Candidates from other parties or independent candidates cumulatively lead in 8 seats in West Bengal. In Puducherry, NDA is similarly placed to cross the majority mark of 16 in the 30-seat assembly, with a tally of 18 drawn from 13 won and 5 leading seats. SPA has a tally of 5 in Puducherry. In Kerala, UDF is leading in enough seats to cross the majority mark of 71 in the 140-seat assembly if those leads hold, with a tally of 87 comprising 68 won and 19 leading. LDF has a tally of 36, with 30 won and 6 leading. Candidates from other parties or independent candidates cumulatively hold a tally of 17 seats in Kerala.
