Alliance tallies shift across Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Puducherry and Kerala
Counting is underway across four states and the numbers are moving quickly. In Tamil Nadu, where 118 seats mark the majority in a 234-seat house, independent and smaller party candidates cumulatively lead in enough seats to hold a tally of 115, just 3 short of that mark, with 10 seats already won and 105 leads in hand. SPA sits at a tally of 60, having won 7 and leading in 53, while NDA is at 55 with all of those as leads. In West Bengal, BJP has crossed the majority mark of 148 on tally alone, standing at 179 across 11 won seats and 168 leads in the 294-seat assembly, though declared wins are still building. TMC trails with a tally of 106, comprising 2 won and 104 leading seats. Candidates from other parties or independent candidates cumulatively lead in 8 seats in West Bengal. In Puducherry, NDA holds a tally of 18 in the 30-seat house where 16 is the majority, with 13 seats already declared in its favour and 5 leads remaining. SPA has a tally of 5 there. In Kerala, UDF leads across the 140-seat assembly with a tally of 87, having won 68 seats and leading in 19 more against a majority mark of 71, putting it well past that threshold on tally. LDF trails with a tally of 36, having won 30 and leading in 6. Candidates from other parties or independent candidates cumulatively hold a tally of 17 seats in Kerala.
