Alliance tallies shift across Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Puducherry and Kerala
Counting is underway across four states and the numbers are moving quickly. In Tamil Nadu, where 118 seats mark the majority in a 234-seat assembly, independent and smaller party candidates cumulatively lead in enough seats to hold a tally of 115, just three short of that mark, with 10 seats already decided in their favour. SPA has a tally of 60, with 7 won and 53 leading, while NDA is at 55, all in leads with no seats declared yet. In West Bengal, BJP is leading in enough seats to cross the majority mark of 148 in the 294-seat house, holding a tally of 179 that includes 11 won and 168 leading. TMC trails with a tally of 106, comprising 2 won and 104 leading. Candidates from other parties or independent candidates cumulatively lead in 8 seats in West Bengal. Puducherry, with a majority mark of 16 in its 30-seat assembly, sees NDA holding a tally of 18 that crosses that threshold, with 13 seats already won and 5 in hand. SPA has a tally of 5, with 2 won and 3 leading. Candidates from other parties or independent candidates cumulatively account for a tally of 7 in Puducherry. In Kerala, UDF leads in enough seats to cross the majority mark of 71 across the 140-seat assembly, with a tally of 87 that includes 68 won and 19 leading. LDF has 30 won and 6 leading for a tally of 36. Candidates from other parties or independent candidates cumulatively hold a tally of 17 in Kerala, with 13 seats won and 4 in leads.
