'Dangal' box-office collection Day 6: Aamir Khan film races towards the 200-crore mark

Aamir Khan's Christmas release 'Dangal,' which also stars Fatima Sana Sheikh, Sanya Malhotra and Sakshi Tanwar in lead roles, continued its glorious run at the box-office on Wednesday. On Day 6, the film added another Rs 21.20 crore to its kitty, taking the total collection to a staggering figure of Rs 176.98 crore. The drop from Tuesday is barely 8 percent when the film earned Rs 23.09 crore.

The sports drama film, co-written and directed by Nitesh Tiwari, maintained its miraculous performance in East Punjab and with the film getting a tax-free status in Uttar Pradesh, it can be expected to stand strong in the days to come. A biopic on Indian wrestler and coach Mahavir Singh Phogat, 'Dangal' is just Rs 24 crore short of achieving the Rs 200-crore mark. It would be interesting to see if the film is able to do so on Thursday itself.
