As the name suggests, chakras are energy centers in the human body. This ancient yogic concept is mentioned in the scriptures of Ayurveda and Yoga, relating to the planets. Seven main chakras are aligned along the spine, each representing specific physical, mental, and emotional aspects of human lives. Proper alignment and balance of these chakras are considered essential for physical and emotional well-being.

Seven Chakras
Muladhara or The Root Chakra
Located at the base of the spine, this chakra is the foundation of our body and is represented by the color red. It governs aspects such as security and survival instincts. When balanced, it creates a sense of stability and safety.

Swadhisthana or The Sacral Chakra
Moving upwards, we find this chakra represented by the color orange. This energy center is rooted in aspects like creativity, passion, and the exploration of desires. Blockages can lead to emotional repression or sexual issues.

Located just above the navel, Manipura is the seat of personal power, willpower, and self-esteem. When balanced, we feel confident, assertive, and in control of our destiny. It is represented by the color yellow.

Anahata or The Heart Chakra
Situated in the center of your chest, Anahata represents love, compassion, and emotional healing, promoting self-love. It is associated with the color green.

Vishuddha or The Throat Chakra
Located in your throat, Vishuddha is the voice of authenticity, communication, and truth, associated with the color blue. A balanced Throat Chakra enables clear, honest communication and the ability to express oneself with integrity.

Ajna or The Third Eye Chakra
Often represented by the color indigo and nestled between the eyebrows, Ajna symbolizes intuition, perception, and spiritualism.

Sahasrara or The Crown Chakra
Located at the top of the head, Sahasrara is the gateway to universal consciousness, spiritual connection, and enlightenment. It is represented by the color violet or white.
