BMW M440i launched in India: Price, features, engine specs & more
BMW has launched the M440i in India, expanding its M Performance lineup and offering a new drop-top model in the market. The model has been priced from Rs 1.09 crore, ex-showroom. Here’s a quick look at what’s on offer.
Based on the 4 Series platform, the M440i Convertible features a fabric soft-top roof, which can be opened or closed in just 18 seconds at speeds of up to 50 kmph. In terms of design, it carries BMW’s latest styling cues, including slim LED headlamps with distinctive DRL signatures, a large kidney grille and aggressive front air intakes. The side profile gets 19-inch alloy wheels, M badging and a wind deflector behind the front seats, while the rear features sleek LED tail-lamps, an integrated boot-lid spoiler and a sporty diffuser.
The BMW M440i Convertible is offered in a wide range of exterior colour options: Black Sapphire, Mineral White, Portimao Blue, Arctic Race Blue, Brooklyn Grey, Cape York Green and Fire Red.
Inside, the M440i Convertible offers a four-seat layout featuring a 14.9-inch curved touchscreen infotainment system paired with a fully digital instrument cluster. It also comes equipped with a heads-up display, powered sports seats with memory function, ambient lighting, wireless charging and a 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, along with automatic climate control and other premium features.
Under the hood, the M440i Convertible is powered by a 3.0-litre, inline six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. It produces 374 hp and 500 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system. It can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.9 seconds.
Performance remains a key highlight, with the M440i capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 kmph in a claimed 4.9 seconds, while the top speed is electronically limited to 250 kmph.
