Hyundai i20 gets new entry-level trim priced at 5.99 lakh: Features explained
Hyundai Motor India today announced a refreshed and more accessible pricing for the select variants of the Hyundai i20 hatchback. The entry-level Era variant is now priced at Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom), marking a reduction from its earlier price. The company has also adjusted prices for two other trims, with the Magna Executive now costing Rs 6.74 lakh and the Magna variant priced at Rs 6.99 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).
The entry-level Era variant features six airbags, a fully digital instrument cluster, front and rear skid plates, body-colour ORVMs and door handles, a Type-C USB charger and telescopic steering. The Magna Executive variant comes equipped with a digital instrument cluster, skid plates, a shark-fin antenna and a highline tyre pressure monitoring system. It also features automatic headlamps, telescopic steering adjustment, keyless entry, electrically adjustable ORVMs, and steering-mounted audio and Bluetooth controls.
Stepping up to the Magna variant adds more comfort and convenience features, including an electric sunroof, LED daytime running lights, rear AC vents and a front armrest with integrated storage. Additionally, Hyundai is offering a 25.55cm (10.1-inch) touchscreen infotainment system as a dealer-installed option, priced at ₹14,999. The setup supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and also includes a rear camera. This accessory package is backed by a three-year warranty. The i20 continues to be offered with Hyundai’s standard warranty of three years or 1,00,000km, whichever comes first.
The i20 continues to be powered by a sole 1.2-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. It comes paired with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic. All trims are offered with a 5-speed manual transmission and the CVT automatic gearbox is available only with Sportz and the Asta trims. The engine puts out 83hp with the MT transmission and 88hp with the CVT, and 115Nm of peak torque.
