Mercedes-Benz sells 19,007 cars in '25, BEVs grow 12%: Best-sellers, details
Mercedes-Benz India wrapped up 2025 with its highest-ever revenue performance, backed by strong demand for its top-end vehicles and electric cars, the company revealed in its annual press meet. The German carmaker delivered 19,007 vehicles in the calendar year 2025.
The company said growth was largely driven by its Top-End Vehicle (TEV) portfolio, which includes the S-Class, Mercedes-Maybach models and AMG performance cars. This segment recorded an 11 percent YoY growth and accounted for 25 percent of total sales. On the other hand, the AMG portfolio grew by a strong 34 percent YoY, supported by high demand for models such as the AMG G63, AMG CLE 53 and AMG GLC 43.
Electric vehicles also gained momentum. Mercedes-Benz’s BEV portfolio grew by 12 percent year-on-year and now makes up 20 percent of all top-end Mercedes-Benz vehicles sold in India. Notably, 70 percent of BEVs sold in 2025 were priced between Rs 1.25 crore and Rs 3.10 crore.
The EQS SUV emerged as the brand’s highest-selling luxury EV in India, while demand remained strong for the EQS sedan, Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV and the G580.
In the sedan space, Mercedes-Benz continued to see healthy demand across its range. The long wheelbase E-Class retained its position as India’s highest-selling luxury car, while the C-Class, S-Class and Mercedes-Maybach S-Class also contributed significantly to overall volumes. Entry luxury models, however, saw a 20 percent year-on-year decline and accounted for 13 percent of total sales.
The company also announced the rollout of ‘MB.CHARGE Public’, a unified public charging ecosystem available to existing Mercedes-Benz BEV customers at no additional cost. The service provides access to over 9,000 DC charging points in India and is integrated through the Mercedes-Benz app.
Looking ahead, Mercedes-Benz India plans to introduce 12 new products in 2026, including new models, facelifts and additional BEVs. Besides that, the company has confirmed the start of local production of the Mercedes-Maybach GLS at its Pune facility, making India the first market outside the US to locally manufacture the ultra-luxury SUV.Discover everything about the automotive world at Times of India.
