Viral Lamborghini drift ends in seizure: All you need to know about the car
A viral video showing a luxury supercar performing dangerous drifts in Bengaluru has led to police action, with authorities seizing the vehicle and registering a case against its owner. The incident took place at Anil Kumble Circle on MG Road during the early hours of Saturday, when a Lamborghini Huracan was seen doing high-speed donuts on a public road.
According to police, the stunt happened between 2 am and 3 am, when traffic was relatively low. However, the act posed a serious risk to public safety. A short 11-second clip of the incident has since gone viral on social media, showing the car sliding across the junction while a few bystanders can be seen reacting to the scene.
The Cubbon Park Police have registered an FIR against the owner of the vehicle based on its registration details. The case has been filed under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Motor Vehicles Act. Officials have confirmed that an investigation is currently underway to determine who was driving the car at the time of the incident.
The car involved is believed to be the Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica, one of the more track-focused versions of the Huracan lineup. It is powered by a 5.2-litre NA V10 engine that produces around 640 hp and 600 Nm of torque. The supercar can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in about 2.9 seconds and has a claimed top speed of over 325 kmph.
In addition to its performance figures, the Huracan Tecnica features advanced aerodynamics and a rear-wheel-drive setup. However, such capabilities also demand responsible driving, especially on public roads.
Recently, Lamborghini delivered its last V10-powered car for India, a Huracan Tecnica. So far, the company has handed over a total of 252 Huracan units to customers in the country. The Italian supercar features a carbon-fibre bonnet, a rear diffuser, and a fixed rear spoiler. It also gets rear-wheel steering and carbon ceramic brakes as standard.
