World’s rarest and most beautiful cars showcased at Oberoi Concours: Details
Some of the world’s rarest and most elegant cars came together in Udaipur as the second edition of the Oberoi Concours d’Elegance concluded at The Oberoi Udaivilas. A major highlight this year was the introduction of the Oberoi Tour d’Elegance, a scenic drive along Fateh Sagar Lake.
Instead of remaining parked in lawns, several classic machines were seen in motion against the backdrop of Udaipur’s lakes and palaces. The drive reinforced the idea that these cars are not just museum pieces but living works of engineering.
The curated classes ranged from Indian Heritage Motor Racing and Indian Coachbuilt cars to Cars of the Maharajahs (Jodhpur and Pre-War Classics) Rolls-Royce. A special Phantom retrospective traced a century of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars excellence.
BMW partnered for the second consecutive year through BMW Group Classic, showcasing the iconic BMW 507 Roadster and the BMW 3.0 CSL racing coupé. Meanwhile, Rolls-Royce made its debut as it displayed the Black Badge Spectre, described as the world’s first ultra-luxury electric super coupe. India is currently Rolls-Royce’s highest growth market in Asia-Pacific, recording double-digit growth for four consecutive years.
The presence of members of India’s former royal families further reflected the country’s deep-rooted connection with motoring heritage. At the 2026 Oberoi Concours, several iconic machines walked away with top honours. The 1956 Mercedes-Benz 300SL won Best in Class in Indian Heritage Motor Racing (cars), while the 1939 Bentley 4¼ Litre secured Best in Class in Pre-War European Classics. Among Rolls-Royce models, the 1924 Rolls-Royce 20hp Tourer took Best in Class in Pre-War Classics – Rolls-Royce. In the Youngtimer category, the 1985 Ferrari 328 GTS emerged as Best in Class. The prestigious Best of Show Automobiles title went to the Bentley G25, while the 1944 BSA M20 claimed Best of Show Motorcycles.
