NueGo today announced the expansion of its inter-city electric bus services to South Indian cities, starting with Karnataka and Telangana. These electric coaches will soon be in operation on the Hyderabad-Suryapet–Vijayawada and Bengaluru-Chittor-Tirupati routes.

On the Hyderabad- Suryapet-Vijayawada route, the boarding points for the electric coaches would be BHEL Crossroads, Miyapur Crossroads, KPHB, Kukatpally, S R Nagar, Ameerpet, Lakdikapool, LB Nagar, Hotel Sai Krishna (Suryapet) and at Patamata, NTR Circle, Benz Circle, Hanumanpet and Ibrahimpatnam stops in Vijayawada.

While on the Bengaluru-Chittor-Tirupati route, the major boarding points would be Majestic, Anand Rao Circle, HSR layout, K R Puram Railway Station, Hoskote, Kolar, Palamner and Tirupati.

NueGo is the flagship e-mobility coach brand of GreenCell Mobility that will offer a comfortable ride experience for inter-city travellers. According to the official statement, NueGo electric coaches go through 25 safety checks, such as electrical and mechanical inspections. Each coach is sanitized before every trip and coach drives go through breath-analyzer tests, says the company.

The electric coaches come equipped with features like drop point geo-location, live coach tracking and monitored in-coach CCTV surveillance. Moreover, these e-coaches can run 250 km in a single charge with AC on and in traffic conditions.

NueGo also offers premium lounges in selective cities, customer assist and luggage management services. Additionally, these services will also offer F&B menu at the lounges and on-board.

“NueGo aims to promote usage of sustainable public transportation with zero tailpipe emission on the inter-city routes throughout the country. With the launch of our services in the southern cities we aim to provide our guests a holistic travel experience,” says Satish Mandhana, Director, GreenCell Mobility.

The company is planning to mark its presence across 30 cities with 350 electric buses by developing green routes for Indian customers.
