Ampere Nexus electric scooter launched at Rs 1.10 lakh: 136 km range on single charge, 93 kmph top speed!
Greaves Electric Mobility has launched the Ampere Nexus electric family scooter with prices starting from Rs 1.10 lakh, ex-showroom. This electric scooter will be available in two variants - EX and ST, featuring four different colour schemes, namely Zanskar Aqua, Indian Red, Lunar White, and Steel Grey. The higher-spec ST variant carries an introductory price tag of Rs 1.20 lakh, ex-showroom.
The Nexus houses a 3 kWh LFP battery, which as per the company’s claims is rated for 136 km range on a single charge. A motor with 4 kW peak power propels this scooter with top speed of up to 93 kmph. It has five distinct riding modes. As for the charging time, Greaves says that it takes 3 hours 22 mins to charge the battery, claiming it to be the fastest charging time in the segment.
Rolling on 12-inch alloy wheels, stopping power comes from a front disc brake and rear drum brake setup. Suspension duties are carried out by telescopic front forks and a dual rear shock absorbers unit. As for its features, the Nexus comes equipped with an all-LED lighting system, with Ampere claiming it to have the brightest headlight in its class. The Nexus ST variant features a 7-inch touchscreen TFT display featuring Bluetooth connectivity. As for the base-spec EX variant, it gets a smaller 6.2-inch LCD display.
Bookings for the model have commenced already on the company’s website while the deliveries and test rides are slated to begin in mid-May across the manufacturer’s network of 400 dealerships.
