Ola Electric, one of India’s leading electric scooter manufacturers, has frequently faced criticism from customers for its inadequate after-sales service. While many customers voice their complaints on social media, one frustrated owner, Sagar Singh, took his protest to another level. After experiencing frequent issues with his Ola scooter and receiving no support from the company, he decided to make a statement by loading his scooter onto a trolley and staging a singing protest in front of the Ola showroom.
As seen in the viral video, he is singing a modified version of the popular Bollywood track “Tadap Tadap” at an Ola dealership. The famous hit from Salman Khan’s blockbuster movie ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ was modified lyrically as the owner took a slight dig at the company saying ‘Hum lutt gaye Ola lekar ke” - (We're ruined after getting an Ola.)
The scene also evokes memories of the famous funeral sequence from the movie Gangs of Wasseypur 2, as the red-painted electric scooter is seen tied to a trolley. Meanwhile, the video has been rapidly going viral on social media platforms. This isn't the first time a customer has used social media to voice their displeasure, but the unique and entertaining approach in this case has certainly elevated it to a new level.
Recently, the EV manufacturer has introduced its first range of electric motorcycles. The most affordable model, the Roadster X, starts at Rs 75,000 (ex-showroom) and comes with three battery options: 2.5kWh, 3.5kWh, and 4.5kWh. The top Roadster X trim offers a certified range of 200 km. Ola Electric's first electric motorcycle is expected to reach showrooms in the first half of FY2026.
