How to link Aadhaar to Axis bank account

Linking Aadhaar with bank accounts is easy. The process to link your Axis bank account with Aadhaar is very simple. But before you initiate the process, please verify that all the details such as name, date of birth, address and most importantly your mobile number is correct. Axis bank allows you to link your Aadhaar number with bank account in three different ways:


1) Mobile Banking

a) Log in to the Axis Mobile app

b) Check for 'Insta Services' tab and select 'Update Aadhaar' from the options

c) Fill in the details such as your Aadhaar number and mobile number to instantly update your Aadhaar in the Axis bank records.

2) Internet Banking or Net Banking

a) Log in to the Axis Internet banking or Net banking using your username and password

b) Under 'Services' tab check for "Insta Services" and then click on "Update Aadhaar" from the options shown

c) Enter all the required information such as your Aadhaar number, mobile number, OTP etc. and click on Submit.

d) Once you click submit, your request will be saved in Bank's database

3) Phone Banking
a) If you are dialling from registered mobile number, call Axis Phone Banking at 18604195555 or 18605005555

b) From the IVR option, dial 2 for savings account and then Press 1 for Aadhaar update

c) Confirm your Aadhaar details

4) Update Aadhaar through ATM

You can also visit nearest Axis Bank ATM to link Aadhaar to your bank account. Follow these steps:

a) Insert Debit card

b) Select "Link Aadhaar Number" from main menu screen

c) Enter you ATM PIN and then Enter Aadhaar Number. Re-enter your Aadhaar Number to confirm the procedure.

5) Through SMS

You can also update your Aadhaar in your Axis bank account by sending SMS in below format

Type - AN << Aadhaar No.>> AC << last 6 digits of A/C no.>> - and send it to 5676782
