Bank of Baroda launches global account for NRI women
Mumbai: Bank of Baroda has introduced a savings account tailored for women NRIs, the first of its kind among India’s public sector banks. The bob Global Women NRE & NRO Savings Account offers benefits such as concessional rates on home and auto loans, reduced processing fees, full waivers on locker rent, and a customised debit card with complimentary airport lounge access. It also includes free personal and air accident insurance, making Bank of Baroda the first public lender to extend such coverage to NRIs holding savings accounts.
Beena Vaheed, executive director at Bank of Baroda, said the bank understands the evolving aspirations of NRI customers and aims to support global Indian women with banking privileges suited to their needs. "The bob Global Women NRE & NRO Savings Account recognises the changing dynamics of today’s global Indian women and is designed to empower them," she said.
The bank has also enhanced its bob Premium NRE & NRO Savings Account, offering features such as a debit card with higher transaction limits, free airport lounge access, free safe deposit locker, and concessional loan rates.
