Budget 2024 Expectations Highlights: Union Budget 2024, the first full Budget by the Modi 3.0 government, will be presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in Parliament on July 23, 2024. The Parliament session will begin on July 22, 2024. All eyes are on the Budget 2024 to provide income tax relief to salaried and individual taxpayers, give impetus to job creation and provide a path towards India becoming a $5 trillion economy, while moving on the fiscal deficit glide path. FM Sitharaman’s seventh Budget, is also expected to focus on agriculture and farmers, manufacturing sector PLI schemes to position India as a global manufacturing and exporting hub. The thrust on capital expenditure-led GDP growth is also likely to continue with a major chunk of the capex push being allocated to roads and railways.
