NEW DELHI: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu once again put focus on India-Israel warm ties early Friday, saying Israel receives “crazy love” from India at a time when, according to him, much of the world seeks to “delegitimise” the Jewish state.Addressing an event, Israeli PM said, "We have a unique relationship with a huge power called India. In India, there's support for Israel."
“We face delegitimisation in much of the world - but not in India,” Netanyahu said.“In India, there is an absolutely crazy love for Israel, truly crazy. I think I have more followers from India than from anywhere else,” he added.Earlier, during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Israel in February, Netanyahu had also shared a personal anecdote involving his wife Sara and an Indian restaurant in Tel Aviv. Also read: Israel tightens grip on Gaza as Netanyahu pushes for 70% controlAddressing a joint press conference with PM Modi, Netanyahu had said: “I have to say at the end of this visit that I owe India — I don’t know if I told you this, Narendra — but I owe India a great personal debt.
