Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal on Friday credited the party’s strong performance in the Ramdas civic body polls to the Punjab government’s development work and the ideology of AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal.
Speaking to ANI on the civic body poll results, Dhaliwal alleged that opposition parties had come together against the AAP during the elections. "3 parties are working in alliance against us - ABC, which is Akali Dal, BJP and Congress. They levelled false allegations against us... But the work and development show, and the people have recognised the development done by Bhagwant Mann. The people of Ramadas preferred the ideology of Arvind Kejriwal," Dhaliwal said.
Meanwhile, SDM Charumita said results for all 11 booths in Ramdas had been declared. She said the Shiromani Akali Dal candidate managed to win only at booth number 8, while AAP candidates emerged victorious in the remaining booths.
"Results have been declared for the 11 booths of Ramadas, in which Akali Dal candidate won only on booth number 8, and AAP candidates won on the rest," Charumita told ANI.
