A former government schoolteacher, Dudhu Miah, who lost his job in 2020, has now passed his Class 12 board exams alongside his daughter, Ruma Akter. After working as a daily wage laborer, Dudhu was inspired by Ruma to re-enroll in school. The father-daughter duo plans to attend college together, showcasing an extraordinary achievement and a testament to their determination.
In a bold assertion, Tripura Congress has charged the BJP-led government with inciting ethnic tensions to destabilize the political landscape as the Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council elections approach. Party spokesperson Prabir Chakraborty pointed to a contrived narrative aimed at confusing the electorate and generating anxiety, disproportionately affecting at-risk tribal groups and grassroots advocates.
