NEW DELHI: Gas Authority of India has fixed higher production targets for LPG and polymers in 2002-03.

new delhi: gas authority of india has fixed higher production targets for lpg and polymers in 2002-03. the production target for lpg has been fixed at 936,337 mt and for ploymers it stands at 250,000 mt for next fiscal, a release said. the next fiscal lpg production target is seven per cent higher than 875,028 mt target of 2001-02 while polymers target is 13.12 per cent higher than 221,000 mt production target of 2001-02, it added.
gail signed a memorandum of understanding with ministry of petroleum and natural gas on march 28 fixing next fiscal''s targets. the gross margin has been fixed 3.58 per cent higher at rs 2,342 crore in 2002-03 compared to rs 2,261 crore target for 2001-02. the mou was signed by naresh narad, additional secretary in the ministry and gail director (finance) j k jain. the target for availability of the hbj as well as non-hbj pipeline network has been maintained at 99.9 per cent. gail has been consistently achieving ''excellent'' rating for last ten years and expects to retain it in 2001-02.
