Interior deco firm Livspace cuts 100 jobs
NEW DELHI: Livspace has laid off some of its employees, joining a battery of startups which are attempting to keep a check on expenses and achieve profitability, amid strict allocation of investor capital.
In a statement, the company said that the layoffs have impacted less than 2% (roughly 100) of its overall workforce, which amounts to over 5,000 employees. The Singapore-headquartered omni-channel home interior and renovation platform founded by Anuj Srivastava and Ramakant Sharma has operations across India, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia with India being home to the bulk of its workforce.
The firm said that it is taking all necessary steps to ensure smooth transition of the affected employees. It is providing them with an assistance package, extended medical insurance and outplacement services wherever possible.
