Medtronic India subsidiary appoints new MD

NEW DELHI: India Medtronic, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Medtronic plc, has announced the appointment of Mandeep Singh Kumar as its new Vice President and Managing Director. He succeeds Michael Blackwell, who has relocated to the United States to pursue new opportunities, according to a company statement. Kumar will be responsible for overseeing sales, marketing, and commercial operations for Medtronic’s business in India.

With over 25 years of extensive experience, Mandeep Singh Kumar has demonstrated leadership in driving successful growth and business transformations across the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and med-tech sectors.

In his previous role, Kumar served as the country leader at Intuitive India, where he spearheaded the development and implementation of plans aimed at broadening patient access, establishing a holistic ecosystem for robotic-assisted surgery, and executing successful customer robotic programs.
