Jewar Airport To Have 5 Runways

The Jewar airport project has been expanded to include five runways, revised from the initial two-runway plan. The acquisition of land for the third runway is currently in progress, requiring 1,335 hectares. The fourth and fifth runways will need an additional 2,053 hectares. (Concept image)

Jewar Airport Rapid Rail Connectivity

Jewar Airport connectivity: The Uttar Pradesh administration has sanctioned a 72.3km rapid rail route connecting the Noida airport with Delhi and neighboring NCR regions. An official indicated that this connection might also extend to Delhi's IGI airport. The rail corridor, which will extend from the Ghaziabad rapid rail station on the Delhi-Meerut route, is scheduled for completion in 2041. Travelers can expect to reach between the two airports in 80 minutes. The journey times from various points will be: 50 minutes from Ghaziabad to Noida airport, 70 minutes from Delhi's Nizamuddin Railway Station, and 85 minutes from Meerut. (Concept image)
