Sebi looks to ease MF rule
MUMBAI: Markets regulator Sebi is working on a plan to ease a rule for mutual funds that is turning out to be restrictive under its regulation 24 for MFs. Manjor Kumar, ED, Sebi, on Tuesday said that the regulator was working to ease the restrictions but didn't give any timeline for coming out with a revised norm. Kumar was speaking at CII's annual mutual fund summit here. Regulation 24 (b) restricts fund houses from entering several related businesses.
