Tarun Bajaj appointed new revenue secretary

NEW DELHI: In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, current economic affairs secretary

Tarun Bajaj

was appointed as the

new revenue secretary

on Tuesday.

Ajay Seth

will be the new economic secretary in place of Bajaj. Seth, a 1987-batch IAS officer, is currently serving in his cadre state of Karnataka.

In an official order, the personnel ministry informed that the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved Bajaj's appointment as secretary, department of revenue.

Meanwhile, Ali Raza Rizvi, special secretary and financial adviser in the ministry of information and broadcasting, will be secretary in the department of public enterprises, the order said.
