TVS Motor appoints Gaurav Gupta as president of two-wheeler business
CHENNAI: TVS Motor Company has appointed Gaurav Gupta as president of its two-wheeler business in India.
Gupta joins TVS from JSW MG Motor India where he was executive committee member, deputy MD & chief growth officer. He will be based out of Bengaluru and report to K N Radhakrishnan, director & CEO, TVS Motor Company.
Gupta will head the India two-wheeler business, both ICE and EV. He has over three decades of experience and worked in multiple geographies including India, China, Dubai, Indonesia, Vietnam, and ASEAN markets.
Radhakrishnan welcomed him to TVS saying: “We are confident that under his leadership, we will further strengthen our market position and continue to set benchmarks.”
During his tenure over 6.5 years at MG, Gupta played a pivotal role in establishing and leading the commercial operations from the ground up. Before his stint in MG, Gupta was MD of Bridgestone Tire Indonesia leading the company’s operations including both domestic & exports. Earlier, for two decades, he had worked for General Motors in various roles across Asia Pacific operations including as MD of General Motors Indonesia, General Motors Vietnam.
