Unifi Capital gets in-principle approval from SEBI to set up mutual fund business
CHENNAI: Chennai-based portfolio management services company Unifi Capital has received in-principle approval from SEBI to set up a mutual fund business.
"Our mutual fund will enable us to go deeper and wider, bringing our investment products to the full spectrum of investors for the very first time. Within the regulatory framework, we have more than enough space to offer differentiated investment strategies that mutual fund investors are yet to be served," Sarath Reddy, founder, Unifi Capital, said in a statement here on Monday.
Following the nod from SEBI, the company has commenced work on its mutual fund.
Established in 2001, Unifi Capital manages more than Rs 20,000 crore for about 10,000 portfolio management services and alternative investment funds clients in 22 states in the country.
