1 held for keepingcow head in Hindu house in Tripura

Agartala: A 24-year-old man was arrested in North Tripura district on Monday on charges of keeping a cow head in the courtyard of a Hindu house, reports Biswendu Bhattacharjee. The arrested youth, Raju Mia, hails from Netajipara locality of Churaibari in the district. SP (North) Bhanupada Chakraborty said, “Based on the complaints of the villagers, we have registered a case and a suspected person was arrested during probe. An animal head has been recovered which will be sent to the laboratory for identification.”Police held a meet with the representatives of both Hindus and Muslims of the area asking them to maintain peace and refrain from hurting the religious sentiments of the people.
