Seventeen Indian workers employed by AFCONS Infrastructure Private Limited in Bangladesh were safely brought back amid local turmoil. They were constructing a road from Akhaura to Kishoreganj. The BSF, in coordination with the Border Guard Bangladesh, facilitated their safe return through the Tripura border, ensuring their safe passage and customs clearance.

The Director General of Border Security Force, Daljit Singh Chawdhary, reviewed the security and operational measures along the Indo-Bangladesh border in Tripura amidst political unrest in Bangladesh. The visit included briefings, inspections, and meetings with senior officials. Chawdhary emphasized vigilance and community cooperation for maintaining peace and preventing escalation of tensions.
