Truck collides with bike, killing couple and infant

Agra: A couple and their seven-month-old son died, and their three-year-old daughter was severely injured when a truck collided with their motorcycle on the Etah-Kasganj Road on Thursday.
Vishnu Lodhi, 27, a resident of Tarainchi village in Aligarh district, was returning home from his in-laws' house in Kasganj with his wife, Shabnam Rajput, 24, their son Bhupendra, and their daughter Mansi. When the family reached an overbridge in the Kotwali Dehat area of Etah, a truck coming from the opposite direction suddenly swerved and hit their motorcycle. The impact was so severe that the family was thrown off the bike. Shabnam died on the spot, while Bhupendra and Vishnu died upon arrival at JN Medical College in Aligarh. Mansi, the only survivor, was critically injured and is undergoing treatment.
SHO Dehat Kotwali, Nirdosh Singh, said, "The family has yet to file a police complaint, after which a case will be registered. The truck driver has been arrested, and the truck seized; an investigation is ongoing."
The incident has sparked outrage as the family of four was riding on a single motorcycle, with Vishnu not wearing a helmet. Despite clear traffic violations, they were not stopped by police during their journey. It was also revealed that the family passed through multiple police jurisdictions without being questioned.
