Two homeguards suspended for taking bribe in Mainpuri, video goes viral

AGRA: Two homeguards attached to

Kishni police station

in Mainpuri were suspended on Thursday night for allegedly demanding a bribe of Rs 100 from a

bike borne youth

.

The action was taken after the video showing the home guards,

Satyendra

and

Ramveer

, allegedly demanding bribe from a youth went viral on

social media

on Thursday.

During the inquiry it was found that both had demanded the bribe from the youth. Following the report, SP Mainpuri, Ajay Shankar directed to register FIR against them under the prevention of corruption act.

Talking to TOI, Ajay Shankar Rai said, “ We have zero tolerance towards corruption. FIR has been registered against them. They have also been suspended by the department on the basis of the report sent by us”.
