Ahmedabad: PSI and his staff return lost purse containing cash and jewellery to its owner

had gone shopping for Diwali on Friday evening to

Maninagar

. However, while shopping she lost her purse which contained jewellery and cash of a total worth of Rs 1 lakh.

Incidentally the purse was found by PSI CB Goswami and his staff which was patrolling in the area.

Inspector BB Goyal of Maninagar police station said that sub inspector Goswami roamed in the market area near the railway station and asked everyone about the lost purse but could not find one.

"PSI Goswami then told the shop keepers that if anyone comes to look for the lost purse please send that person to the police station" added Inspector Goyal.

In the evening at about 7pm a woman named Laxmi Sangtur of Khokhra came to the market looking for the purse.

"She was told by some of the shopkeepers that her purse has been found by the police and they have asked the owner of the purse to come to Maninagar police station" said a police source.

Sangtur, rushed to the police station and claimed that the purse found by the police was hers. "We verified that the purse was hers by asking her what was inside, and she told us exactly what was kept in the purse. We also checked her Aadhar Card and then returned the purse to her" said inspector Goyal of
