Man kills wife, sends evidence to brother-in-law in Indore
Ahmedabad: Narol police on Saturday arrested Nilesh Shah, a resident of Anushthan Bungalows in Narol, after he allegedly killed his wife. According to police, Shah informed his brother-in-law in Indore about the incident after committing the crime.Police inspector P C Desai said that the complaint was filed on Friday, and the husband was arrested on Saturday. Desai said that Shah suspected the character of his wife, Swati, and stabbed her to death. Shah and Swati had a love marriage, which lasted for 14 years.The complainant, Bhupendra Parasar, 24, a resident of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, stated in his complaint that his sister Swati married Shah, a resident of Ahmedabad, and it was a love marriage. He mentioned that in the 14 years of marriage, the couple had three children, including two daughters.Swati's father is a retired police officer. The complainant said that Shah often doubted Swati's character, which led to frequent arguments and disputes. "On Friday morning, Shah called me around 9am and said, ‘I have killed your sister'. Initially, I thought he was joking, but he insisted it was true," the complaint stated. He further said that he then insisted on speaking to the children, and Aradhya, who was crying, said, "Uncle, dad has stabbed mum with a knife. Please come quickly."The complainant claimed that later his brother-in-law sent him a video and photos where his sister, who was bleeding, was lying on a bed. The complainant stated that while he was booking a flight to Ahmedabad from Indore, he got a call from the Narol police. The police official said that at around 8.40am on Friday, Shah had fatally stabbed Swati 15 to 20 times in the neck with a knife following a domestic dispute at their residence.Parasar came to the city, taking a flight from Indore at 2pm, and then, with his relatives, he filed the complaint against Shah. The cops then, based on the complaint, arrested Shah on Saturday.
