President to visit Gujarat, launch NeVA project

Ahmedabad: President Droupadi Murmu will inaugurate the Gujarat assembly’s National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) project and speak to the lawmakers on September 13.
Gujarat Assembly secretary D M Patel said the NeVA project, aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘One Nation, One Application’ vision, aims to transform the Assembly into a paperless institution. Launched by the Prime Minister in 2018, The project includes features such as e-office, e-voting, e-attendance, and e-library.
“Vidhan Sabha Speaker Shankar Chaudhary invited President Murmu to launch the project and speak to the House during the third session of the 15th assembly, which starts on September 13,” Patel said.
The project has been adopted by various states, including Maharashtra and Karnataka, to modernize legislative procedures and improve efficiency. tnn
