Thaltej underpass crash: Driver held for rash driving

Ahmedabad: Nimesh Panchal, the driver of the car involved in an accident that claimed the lives of his three friends at the Thaltej underpass on Tuesday, was arrested on Wednesday.According to investigating officer V B Desai, Panchal sustained head injuries and was admitted to the hospital. “Following his discharge, he was caughthim. He faces charges of reckless driving and causing death due to negligence, among other offences,” said Desai.The police said, “Panchal admitted that while descending from Pakwan flyover, he lost control of the car, causing it to collide with the divider. The vehicle overturned and was thrown to the other side of the road. He acknowledged that he was speeding.” tnn
