Valsad election results 2024 live updates: BJP's Dhaval Laxmanbhai Patel wins

The Valsad constituency in Gujarat witnessed a one sided election between BJP's Dhaval Laxmanbhai Patel and Congress' Anantkumar Hasmukhbhai Patel. Dhaval Laxmanbhai Patel emerged victorious, securing 7,64,226 votes, with a victory margin of 2,10,704. Whereas Anantkumar Hasmukhbhai Patel received 5,53,522 votes. The NOTA received 18,373 votes.

Valsad Lok Sabha constituency is one of Gujarat's 26 Lok Sabha constituencies. It is a ST category parliament seat. The constituency went on for the election in the third phase on May 7. There are over 1859974 lakh voters in the constituency. The voter turnout this year was 1352413 which is 72.71%.

Valsad constituency saw a high-stakes showdown between the BJP led by Dhawal Patel and the Congress led by Anant Patel.

BJP maintained its stronghold in both previous elections. In the 2019 general election, Dr. K. C. Patel of the BJP emerged victorious with 771,980 votes. Jitubhai Chaudhari was the runner-up with 4,18,183 votes. In the 2014 general election, Dr. K. C. Patel emerged victorious by 6,17,772 votes while his counterpart Kishanbhai Vestabhai Patel from INC received 4,09,768 votes.

The constituency comprises of entire Dangs district part of the Navsari district and the entire Valsad district. Valsad Lok Sabha constituency comprises 7 legislative assembly segments which are Dangs, Vansada, Dharampur, Valsad, Pardi, Kaprada, and Umbergaon. Out of seven state assembly seats, six are represented by the BJP while one, Vansada, is represented by the Congress.
