This did not sit well with some other residents who frequently complained about the poor decorations. On Saturday evening, when Taruna and Jigar's wife, Shilpa Patel, were sitting in the common plot of the residential society, two women, Alpa Patel and Jagruti Patel, approached Shilpa and told her that her husband did not do proper work.Shilpa responded to Jagruti, who is the wife of the society's chairman, Jignesh Patel, that the snacks arrangement by Jignesh was also improper. This led to a heated argument between the four women. Later, Alpa and Jagruti allegedly beat Shilpa, and when Taruna intervened, she was also beaten.Taruna alleged that Alpa and Jagruti's sons, Krish and Ved, also beat them. Taruna called the city police control room and filed a complaint with Ghatlodia police for causing hurt, using abusive words, criminal intimidation, and abetment against Alpa, Jagruti, Ved, and Krish.
