When options are limited, work harder: Kris Gopalakrishnan

(AU) marked its foundation day on Saturday with academic discourses and a host of other activities.

Kris Gopalakrishnan

, one of the co-founders of Infosys and presently the executive vice-chairman of the company, was the chief guest.

Gopalakrishnan shared several experiences of his journey before Infosys that led to his success, one of them being his failure to secure an admission at Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad (IIM-A).

“I realized the importance of effective communication along with theoretical knowledge. I also learnt that when options are limited, one should work even harder. In fact, one should see change as an opportunity for growth and success,” said Gopalakrishnan.

, vice-chancellor of the varsity were also present at the foundation day lecture. Lalbhai said, “It is through a truly autonomous institutions that a collective participation can be enabled, where people from all walks of life can join in.”
