Youth duped of 6L in Oz work visa scam

Ahmedabad: A 25-year-old resident of Keshod in Junagadh lodged a complaint on Saturday against multiple individuals for allegedly defrauding him of Rs 6,00,000 on the pretext of facilitating his migration to Australia for work purposes.The complainant, Chirag Parmar, said that he met Jay Dharmesh Hadiya, a resident of Keshod, on Nov 20, 2024. Hadiya assured Parmar that he could arrange for his work visa and travel to Australia for a total cost of Rs 12 lakh, with an initial advance payment of Rs 6 lakh.Subsequently, on Nov 25, 2024, Parmar visited Ahmedabad as instructed by Hadiya. He was directed to Balaji Enterprise, located at Shop No 109, Sahajanand Complex, CG Road. There, he met a man named Kuldeep Parbat Vala, who claimed to be Hadiya's partner. Following Hadiya's telephonic instructions, Parmar handed over Rs 6 lakh to Vala, who provided a token receipt on a Rs 10 note.The next day, Parmar attempted to contact Hadiya and Vala, but their phones were switched off. On Nov 27, Parmar revisited the Ahmedabad office, only to find it closed. Later, Parmar claimed that the accused passed the money to his associates, Kripal Bhattu and DivyeshBaria. Despite assurances, Parmar has not received his money back. Suspecting a coordinated fraud, Parmar approached the cops, naming Jay Hadiya, Kuldeep Vala, Kripal Bhattu and Divyesh Baria as the accused. Navrangpura police have registered a case . tnn
